| Objectives: The primary
objective of this workshop is to enable participants to learn about
the nine Enneagram personality types in an engaging and enjoyable
fashion. Once participants are familiar with the Enneagram model and
are able to look at their own style in different contexts (e.g., work,
leadership and relationships), they can then develop a plan to leverage
the strengths and address potential area(s) of improvement inherent
in their personality type.
Executive Summary: As a result of our inherited nature and our childhood
experiences, we all develop a limited view, a "lens" through
which we perceive and experience the world. This lens, in essence,
informs and reflects our personality type. Enneagram is one of the
most powerful and ancient personality models still in use today.
In the "What Hat(s) do you Wear?" workshop, you will be
introduced to the nine distinct Enneagram personality types in an
interactive, fun and engaging way. Selecting from a collection of
unique "personality hats" or creating your very own, will
bring you face to face with some or all of the following:
The Perfectionist
"I may have faults, but being wrong is not one of them."
- Jimmy Hoffa.
The Giver
The
Performer
The
Artist
The
Observer
"You can observe a lot just by watching." -Yogi
Berra
The Skeptical
Loyalist
The
Adventurer
The
Asserter
The
Peacemaker:
"A lion chased me up a tree, and I greatly enjoyed
the view from the top." -Confucius
This workshop is equally productive for men, women, artistic types
and assertive CEOs - as long as you are willing to discover, play
and have fun!
Outcomes:
Self-development: Understanding oneself and increasing self-awareness
and personal versatility
Relationships: Better understanding others' points of view; enabling
one to consider a partner's perspective and to identify synergies
and friction points between partners.
Business: Helping leaders understand and develop their leadership
styles and increase their effectiveness.
Forum: Enhancing forum communication, cohesiveness and overall forum
spirit, by enabling members to understand both their similarities
and their differences as well as to realize the strengths and liabilities
they bring to forum.
(You may also wind up with a new hat!)
Time Frame: This program is ideal for 1-2 day retreats (forum, couples'
or corporate). It also works well as a 3-4 hour workshop (YPO chapter
education and University events or corporate training) as well as
a 1-hour lecture.
